Maria Matilda Hawkless

Maria Matilda ³Hawkless (Thomas Hawkless ², John Hawkley ¹) was born on December 3, 1854 in Hunters Hill, NSW and died in Gladesville, NSW. She married John Woodcock in 1880 in Sydney, NSW. He was born in the Scilly Isles, Cornwall, England in 1841 and died in 1919.

Children of Maria Matilda ³Hawkless and John Woodcock:

Emily ⁴ Woodcock	b. 1882	married Frederick Rickwood in 1912
Bertha Woodcock	b. 1884	died 15-Jan-1955
Fanny Woodcock	b. 1893	married George Perry in 1910

There is a gravesite for several members of the Woodcock family at the Field of Mars Cemetery. The photograph below was taken in April 2002.

Immediately behind the flowers are the graves of Maria Matilda, her husband John and daughter Bertha. The site on the left (facing the photo) contain the remains of the family of Annie and William Woodcock
